Scholars are one of the three types of Civilian Units that can be recruited from the Barracks. Their primary role is aiding Empires in the collection of Trinkets.
Scholars are wise, learned members of their Empires with a special knowledge of Trinkets. As a Civilian Unit, they have no combat utility and cannot damage other Units.
Strategy[]
During successful Thieve Missions, Scholars attempt to search for Trinkets in the defender's Settlement. A single Scholar has a 50% chance of obtaining a Trinket after a successful attack. The chance of finding a Trinket increases by 5% for every Scholar in the army, with a guaranteed chance with 11 Scholars.
The Trinket's quality relies on the strength of enemy Units killed during the attack. The stronger the enemies, the greater the chance of getting higher-quality Trinket.
Note: If a Trinket is obtained, all Scholars in the army die.
For Leaders wanting to focus on crafting or trading, this is helpful in collecting Trinkets from sources other than the Shop.
